At 1704 Company 85 was dispatched to assist Co#42 (Cumru Twp.) with a reported structure in the area of the above location. The Communications Center reported that multiple calls were being received and a large column was visible from a distance. Deputy 42-1 arrived on scene and reported a working fire.  Engine 85-1 arrived shortly after Deputy 42-2 and began to initiate fire attack from Side B. Engine 85-2 layed their entire bed of 5" supply line to assist with water supply. Air 85 staged on Old Lancaster Pike to fill SCBA. Rehab.85 was requested by EMS to assist with Firefighter Rehab. 

Company 85 Units operated on scene for approx 3hrs until released by Command.  While the 85 Units operated at the structure fire the off duty career staff was recalled along with additional volunteers to cover additional calls in Spring Twp.

At 1425 hrs a mulch fire at the Reading Hospital on Papermill Road.
At 1612 hrs a mulch fire at the Ross Store on Papermill Road.
At 1841 hrs a brush fire in the 3300 block of Reedy Road assisting Co 18.
At 1927 hrs a MVA at the intersection of Penn Ave & Woodside Ave.
At 1956 hrs a AFA in the 000 block of Grandview Blvd assisting Co. 79.
At 2102 hrs a RIT assignment assisting Temple Fire Co in the 4900 block of Kutztown Road.
